About Jo Nairn

Jo Nairn is a local Gold Coast artist, she enjoys painting, drawing and photography and tends to move between these three art forms. Jo has taught Art on the Gold Coast for 12 Years and has always had a passion for photography. Her work has recently moved from large contemporary acryllic pieces to a more delicate and detailed mixed media drawings, she is currently experimenting and developing a series of "Contemporary Chicks" that evolved from the lack of age appropriate art available for pre-teen and teen girls. Each quirky little chick has its own personality and attitude, some reflect what she sees in her two daughters, others have a mood that solely belongs to them. Jo has really enjoyed her latest art "story" and is excited to see where her  contemporary chicks take her.
